Update: Received my first Poshmark order yesterday. No problems. Receiving another delivery tomorrow. And, then one more delivery this Saturday. I swear, I'm done after this. ;)

Okay, not sure if anyone has had any success, but I have... sort of. The code worked for me, by the way. Thank you! I set-up my account, changed my photo and such, set-up my Google pay, and went to make a purchase. Woo hoo!

It seemed like most of the sellers knew the 'freebie peeps were coming because it was impossible to find anything for less than 10.00, with free shipping. I tried to counter offer one seller, and they declined. Counter-offered the same seller a dollar more (yet one dollar less than the buy price), and got crickets. Tried to message the seller, to no avail. Purchased the item for the asking price of 5.00. There was no communication nor activity for nearly a day.

Suddenly, my order was cancelled, and the seller removed the item. Major confusion. Keep in mind, this was my first experience with Poshmark, and it wasn't starting out well at all! But, I picked myself up from off the ground, dusted myself off, and went to purchase another item (realizing at this point I would be paying 1.67 out-of-pocket for any 5.00 item, w/discounted shipping at 5.95, plus tax).

Out of nowhere, Poshmark sent me a notification that I needed to verify my account. WTH? They asked me to scan my Driver's License (which you can scan with your phone) for verification purposes. Scanned my DL, received a thanks and that it would take up to 2 business days to have the verification approved. The longest wait, ever! FYI...if they ask you to verify your account with a DL or Passport, your account is LOCKED until they approve your verification.

Luckily, this morning my verification was approved, thus making my first purchase! Go me! lol

Anyway, just wanted to share. I hope nobody has had to endure such things like I have. :)

Ok, so I almost hate to admit this but everything I'm wearing today I bought on poshmark. I've been buying through poshmark since 2018.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It is good to hear how they manage to keep scammers, etc, off the platform. While it can be a PINB to have to verify, it is worth the time and effort.

I've only had issues on a few purchases out of the hundreds I've made. Their support was fast, accurate and they have the tools in place to report problems quickly and effectively. Approved returns (and more importantly, refunds) are also quick.

Poshmark is one of the few apps I feel confident using to purchase used goods.

A tip for shopping poshmark: before making a purchase or offer check the last time the user was active. On the app it currently shows at the top of each listing, under the username. If you REALLY want the item but the user hasn't been active you can comment on the item and hope for a quick response. This will save you lots of time.

I haven't sold anything on poshmark yet but the lack of space in my closet is putting some serious pressure on me to get started.
