About the study

Mental healthcare can be difficult to access even for patients with exceptional health plans. A growing shortage of mental health professionals has led to the growth of various digital therapeutics and other self-help tools. But the challenge is triaging the patients in need and providing them with the right level of care. Kintsugi’s team is developing a novel National Science Foundation-funded Artificial Intelligence-based voice technology that can measure the severity of depression and anxiety from short clips of free-form speech.
